Birds of the Air

While outside this morning I saw a group of birds resting together on the ground.  I noticed that as they perched on the grass, there was a symmetry to how closely they sat next to one another.  Not only were they equally spaced, but all seemed to be angled toward the sun in exactly the same manner.  Suddenly they all took off to dance through the sky their flight looking like a carefully and masterfully choreographed dance.  Throughout every loop and swoop, the birds continued the symmetry that they had begun on the ground.

Matthew 6:24-34
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ...

My insight for the day
            1.  God is all around us--we just have to open our hearts and eyes to seeing His presence
            2.  Because God takes care of the birds and masterfully prepares their flight, just imagine how much more He longs to do through our lives--giving us confidence.
